Harrow Karate Squad

Henry Francis is the manager and coach for the Harrow Karate Squad which competes in the London Youth Games annually. Whilst we compete under WROKO Rules we welcome students from Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, Kempo or Kung-foo who are used to competing under other rule systems. We will provide information about WROKO rules during squad sessions. Students selected to represent the borough must meet the following criteria: Students must be aged between 10 to 17 years old ( school years 6 to 12).
They must be 4th kyu or equivalent in their chosen style.
They must either live in the borough of Harrow or attend a school within the borough.
Both kata and kumite are represented in the London Youth Games. We enter a total of ten male and ten female students. We can also take up to ten reserves.
We would encourage students who are aged 8 to 10 (school years 4 & 5) or students 7th to 5th kyu to attend squad training sessions, but they will not yet be eligible to compete.
We will post details of squad training events to prepare for our 2007 entry shortly.
